Design: -
  1. Set up the SOP for site survey and design.
  2. Supervise the work of the design engineer for accuracy, optimization of design as per site survey conducted.
  3. Ensure BoM is designed to maximize cost-benefit to achieve LCOE while keeping losses at a minimum.
  4. Conduct site surveys before plant design and layout are finalized.
  5. Should be updated with the latest technologies in panels, inverters, structures, racking techniques, installation techniques, etc.
  6. Liaison with the Business Development Team to understand the client’s requirements to ensure plant design & engineering is pre-approved and incorporated in the PPA.
  7. DC & AC side designing which includes design & selection, calculating the rating of the switchgear and protection required in the system, cable sizing, earthing calculations, etc. Analyzing the existing system configuration and selecting a proper evacuation. DC side designing of solar rooftop PV projects, which include the stringing calculations, module selection, inverter range, etc.
  8. Shadow analysis
  9. PVsyst report for estimating the yield generation of the solar plant
  10. Fluent in PV Syst, Helioscope, SketchUp and AutoCAD
Execution: -
1.      Should have executed a minimum of 20 C&I/ utility projects across tin/ RCC roofs as well as ground-mounted projects. (At least 1 project should be 1 MW+)
  1. Inspecting field sites to observe, evaluate condition, the operability of facilities and structures, Collect field survey data, and measurements.
  2. Check drawings, specifications, and BOQ for allotted work; And report any deviations.
  3. Knowledge of state-of-art technical skills in materials & methods in the construction of large projects.
  4. Prepare defects/ snag list and provide instructions for rectification.
  5. Collection of data, analysis, and design of structures.
  6. Material testing, soil testing, cement grade testing, foundation testing.
  7. Prepare daily, weekly & monthly reports as required by supervision and management teams.
  8. Formulate project baseline, monitoring, controlling, resource deployment, quality compliance & ensure satisfactory execution of projects.
  9. Guide project management, scheduling, planning, erection, and commissioning of the project within stipulated timelines.
  10. Managing contractors and vendors.
  11. Ensuring safety is given the highest priority during the installation and execution of the project.
  12. Work with Project Head to optimize the cost and timelines including value engineering.
  13. Other duties as assigned.


Key Qualifications:
  1. Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering candidates with minimum 7 years’ experience in handling Solar Project Ground mounted and Roof top system cumulatively of 50 MW (AC) under PM KUSUM or any other Govt Scheme.
  2. Having experience in O&M of plant cumulatively 20MW (AC), vendor management, billing of vendors, PPA execution and understanding of OPEN ACCESS, JMR and billing to Utility or clients, etc.
  3. Should have worked on Solar projects.
  4. Ability to effectively co-ordinate, manage and implement a project along with all stakeholders viz contractors, team, suppliers, client, locals / ROW. Resolve and report any issues that crop up.
  5. Ability to influence different stakeholders to ensure project delivery on time.
 
Skills Expected
  1. Proficient in PVsyst, Helioscope and AutoCAD
  2. Hands-on experience in designing and project management.
  3. Familiar with static and dynamic behaviours of structures.
4.      Awareness of relevant I.S & International codes
5.      Project Management Skills.
